I started coming here a few years ago because it was convenient, only about a 5 minute drive from home. It was clean, the machines were well-maintained, and it in in a location where I feel safe doing my laundry alone at 2am. I don’t know if it changed owners or what, but it’s absolutely terrible now. A little over a year ago I started noticing more machines out of service. Many of the washers that still “worked” ended up giving error codes before they spun, the soap dispensers were caked with old detergent, or they smelled like mildew. I left notes a few times on the washers, writing down the error code I got, then I’d come back a week later and think it was fixed because there was no “out of service” sticker, and then it happens again, same error code. I’d then have to spend another $2.75 to rewash my load. The dryers started to randomly not give credit but still take your quarters, and a few of them barely got warm. Whenever I do still come in, the place is filthy and at least a few machines are out of service. Some of the dryers have jagged pieces of metal sticking up. The two large dryers have had “out of order” tags on the for over a year! When I came by a couple of weeks ago because I needed to wash clothes for work the next day more than half of the washers and dryers were out of service. I’ve seen the owner/manager/whoever come in a few times in the morning when I’m here. I’ve been in the middle of taking clothes out of the dryer and he starts moving carts I was using and mopping around where I am trying to walk, leaving the floor very slippery. Go somewhere else to do your laundry, instead of pretty much throwing your money away on machines that don’t finish washing and dryers that steal your quarters.
